From Idea to Success Story
The idea behind SPORTKIND was to create a colourful sportswear collection for children in all sizes, including those in between standard sizes. But that was just the beginning. Interest quickly grew, and what started as a children's collection soon expanded to include designs for adults, along with a wider selection of colours.
From the very beginning, the founders, Nadine Lux and Gabi Windisch, placed great importance on quality and production in Europe. Our collection consists of basics designed for durability that remain part of our range for years to come. Slow fashion instead of fast fashion, and high quality instead of throwaway clothing.
Today, our sportswear and tennis clothing are sold worldwide. And our thoughtfully designed basics are available in over 25 colours.
COLOURFUL & HIGH-QUALITY
The Materials
At SPORTKIND, we exclusively use high-quality Italian performance fabrics to manufacture our sportswear and tennis clothing. Our fabrics are designed to offer breathability, moisture-wicking and odour-resistant properties, as well as built-in UV protection of 50+. All our fabrics are certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, meaning they have been tested for a wide range of potentially harmful substances against defined testing criteria. Our carefully selected materials provide a comfortable feel against the skin.
We also pay close attention to the production processes used by our fabric manufacturers. These include measures to reduce production waste, the use of electricity from renewable energy sources, and the reuse and treatment of water during production.
SPORTKIND X AUGSBURG
The Roots of SPORTKIND
The two founders, Gabi Windisch and Nadine Lux, both come from Augsburg. This city near Munich is therefore also home to SPORTKIND. Our office is located in the charming Bismarckviertel district, housed in a beautiful historic building.
After closing our store in Augsburg city centre at the end of February 2026, we are delighted to welcome you back in person! Since September 2026, you can visit our new SPORTKIND showroom at Stettenstraße 6, where you can explore our colourful sportswear, try on your favourite styles and enjoy personalised advice.
Our showroom is open every Friday from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm, except on public holidays and bridge days.
