From Idea to Success Story
The idea behind SPORTKIND was to create a colorful sports collection for children in all in-between sizes. But that was just the beginning. Interest quickly grew, and what started as a kids-only collection soon expanded to include models for adults, along with a wider selection of colors.
Even before sustainability became a trend, it was at the core of our identity. The founders, Nadine Lux and Gabi Windisch, prioritized fair production in Europe from the very beginning. Our collection consists of durable basics that are purchased and worn for many years. Slow fashion instead of fast fashion, and high quality instead of throwaway clothing.
Today, our sports and tennis apparel is sold worldwide. And the lovingly designed basics are available in over 25 colors.
COLOURFUL & SUSTAINABLE
The Materials
At SPORTKIND, we use only high-quality Italian performance fabrics to manufacture our sports and tennis apparel. All our fabrics are breathable, moisture-wicking, and odour-inhibiting. What makes them truly unique is their built-in UV protection of 50+. All fabrics are certified according to the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, ensuring they are completely free from pesticides and harmful substances – making them exceptionally skin-friendly and comfortable to wear.
The production of our fabrics adheres to strict sustainability principles. The focus lies on reducing production waste, using only green electricity from 100% renewable sources, and recycling and treating the water used during production.

The Roots of SPORTKIND
The two founders, Gabi Windisch and Nadine Lux, both come from Augsburg. This city near Munich is therefore also home to SPORTKIND. Our office is located in the elegant Bismarck Quarter, housed in a beautiful historic building. At our modern store in Augsburg’s city centre, visitors can look forward to an exclusive shopping experience right on the central Rathausplatz. Customers from the surrounding area can also choose our store as a collection point for their online orders.
