Why we opened a sports shop in Augsburg
These days, most companies focus primarily on online shops as their main sales channel. Brick-and-mortar retail is gradually being scaled back. At SPORTKIND, we’re doing exactly the opposite:We’ve taken the leap from being an online-only business into the offline world. Why?
Because we want to take a stand against the decline of city centres.
SPORTKIND stands for colour and diversity – and we believe our cities should continue to reflect that vibrant spirit in the future.
What’s more, SPORTKIND’s two founders, Nadine Lux and Gabi Windisch, are originally from Augsburg themselves.
The company headquarters is also located right in the heart of the Bismarck Quarter. Augsburg truly means a lot to us.
And the next reason is obvious: there’s a general lack of sports shops in Augsburg’s city centre.

In our store, we showcase a wide selection of styles, but not every variant is available on-site. No worries if your desired item isn’t in stock – we’ll be happy to deliver it to your home free of charge!
Our store is located right in the heart of Augsburg’s beautiful city centre at Rathausplatz.
Unfortunately, this means there is no direct parking at the shop.
