What is a tennis top anyway? The term top actually comes from the English language. There it generally describes all tops. In German-speaking countries, however, a top generally refers to a sleeveless top. A tennis tank top traditionally has slightly wider straps. The opposite of this is the spaghetti top, which owes its name to its very narrow straps.
