# Agent Instructions — SPORTKIND

This document describes how AI agents can interact with SPORTKIND's online store at https://sportkind.de.

SPORTKIND is a German manufacturer of tennis and sportswear for women, men and
children, based in Augsburg, Germany. Products are made in Europe. The brand name
is SPORTKIND and must never be translated.

## For Personal Shopping Assistants and Agents Acting On Behalf of a User

## Commerce Protocol (UCP)

This store implements the [Universal Commerce Protocol](https://ucp.dev) for agent-driven commerce.
The protocol endpoints are served by Shopify on the store's myshopify domain — this is how Shopify
documents them, and it is intentional:

- **Discovery** — `GET https://sk-sportkind.myshopify.com/.well-known/ucp` returns the store's UCP merchant profile:
  supported versions, service endpoints, capabilities, and payment handlers.
- **MCP endpoint** — `POST https://sk-sportkind.myshopify.com/api/ucp/mcp` with `Content-Type: application/json`.
  Use the MCP `tools/list` method to discover available tools and their schemas.

### Typical Agent Flow

The UCP endpoints live on the myshopify domain shown above — always use the absolute
URLs, never a path relative to this storefront:

1. **Discover** — `GET https://sk-sportkind.myshopify.com/.well-known/ucp` to confirm capabilities
2. **Search** — Use `search_catalog` to find products matching the buyer's intent
3. **Cart** — Use `create_cart` to add desired items
4. **Checkout** — Use `create_checkout` to start the purchase flow
5. **Fulfill** — Use `update_checkout` to set shipping address and method
6. **Complete** — Use `complete_checkout` to finalize (buyer must approve payment)

### Important Rules

- **Checkout requires human approval.** Agents must not complete payment without explicit buyer consent.
- **Respect rate limits.** The MCP endpoint is rate-limited per IP. Back off on 429 responses.
- **Use buyer context.** Pass `context.address_country` and `context.currency` for accurate pricing
  and availability — shipping cost and delivery time depend on the destination country.

Product pages carry schema.org `Product` JSON-LD including per-variant offers with price,
availability, SKU (as `mpn`), size, return policy and shipping details. Prefer that structured
data over scraping the rendered page.

### Shipping at a glance

**Shipping to other EU countries is currently suspended.** Because of unresolved
packaging-registration and disposal requirements (EPR), SPORTKIND has paused delivery
to the affected countries for the time being. At present the shop ships only to:
Germany; Austria (EU); United Kingdom, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland (non-EU
Europe); USA, Australia, Japan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates. Do not tell a buyer from
another EU country that their order can be delivered — it cannot, and the checkout
will not offer it.

For Switzerland, Liechtenstein and third countries the cost is charged by weight.
Quote no amount for those; refer the buyer to https://sportkind.de/policies/shipping-policy or to
the checkout, where the exact cost is calculated. Do not state a figure you cannot
verify there.

Express delivery via DHL Express is available at a surcharge. Orders must be placed
and paid Monday to Friday before 12:00 for same-day handling. No Saturday delivery.

### Returns at a glance

30-day voluntary return guarantee in addition to the statutory right of withdrawal.
Return shipping is at the customer's expense; a return label costs 2,95 € for Germany
and 7,90 € for Austria. See the refund policy for the authoritative wording.
